Items From The Floor

10.1

A bike path starting at the football ground and running up to Ingles Road alongside the Beaconsfield Emerald Road is needed. Suggestion to the meeting by Rod McIntosh. Ward Councillor will “continue” lobby to secure funds for this project. However he pointed out that funds are tight. Much debate as to ways in which this could be funded. No conclusions were reached.

10.2

BBQ at Bob Burgess not working. Brett to follow up.

10.3

Is there a need in Beaconsfield for a branch of the Bendigo Bank? The meeting voted to invite a member of the Bendigo Bank to address the next meeting. Michael Muaremov to arrange

M. Michael Muaremov
S. Graham Taylor Carried

10.4

The sign at the entrance to the park at the entrance to Beaconsfield needs to be restored. This could be paid for by a Heritage Grant. The BPA will wait for the next round of funding and at that time seek funding. This something Tony Rushton was working on

M Ann Taylor
S. Nik Hock
10.5

The new shops on the corner of Beaconsfield Emerald and Princes Highway have unpainted back walls. This looks terrible. Brett to check if painting was part of the conditions of planning approval.

10.6

Discussion took place re a memorial to Tony Rushton. The matter to be given serious consideration over the next few months. Any thoughts to the President

10.7

Tony Rushton left us with the idea of flood lighting the Cenotaph and flag pole. Motion: Approach Conex and request a light on the top of their pole to floodlight the Cenotaph
